Neo Geo Arcade Games Will Get Physical Compilations on Switch

SNK has revealed that it will release two physical compilations of classic Neo Geo arcade titles for Nintendo Switch in Japan. The Arcade Archives Neo Geo Selection will be available in two volumes in December 2024.

Each volume will contain exactly ten titles each, so this compilation will feature twenty titles in total. The lineup will also include the first two King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown titles based on the series’ chronological timeline order. Each volume will also have a Fatal Fury and Metal Slug entry.

SNK has no plans to release the compilation digitally because the titles are already available for individual purchases on the Nintendo eShop at 838 yen (~$5.85) each before discount sales. Each of the physical compilation volumes will cost 5,940 yen (~$41.50).

Here is the list of the first ten titles that will be available in Volume 1:

  1. The King of Fighters ’94
  2. Metal Slug X
  3. Garou: Mark of the Wolves
  4. Samurai Spirits Zero (a.k.a. Samurai Shodown V)
  5. ASO II ~Last Guardian~
  6. Riding Hero
  7. Top Hunter ~Roddy & Cathy~
  8. Top Player’s Golf
  9. Savage Reign
  10. Shock Troopers

SNK will also cram the following ten titles into Volume 2:

  1. The King of Fighters ’95
  2. Metal Slug 4
  3. Samurai Spirits (a.k.a. Samurai Shodown)
  4. Garou Densetsu 2 (a.k.a. Fatal Fury 2)
  5. Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad
  6. Ghost Pilots
  7. Baseball Stars: Professional
  8. Mutation Nation
  9. Big Tournament Golf
  10. Stakes Winner 2

The Arcade Archives Neo Geo Selection physical releases for Nintendo Switch will be available in Japan on December 12, 2024.
