The Neko Works Twitter account announced Nekopara: Catboys Paradise, an otome visual novel featuring catboys rather than catgirls. In 2019, its joke for the year was that it would make the game with art from G-Yuusuke. Now, on March 31, 2021, it claims it is “making this game for real.” Its website says it will appear in Summer 2021 for free for PCs and mobile devices.
Like the original Nekopara, Nekopara: Catboys Paradise will have a cafe setting. The four catboys are Dill the Calico, Fennel the American Burmese, Laurier the Kao Manee, and Sage the Bengal. They are waiters, and players will work alongside them to keep a shop open. Also, like the original April Fools’ 2019 tease, the website says G-Yuusuke, who worked on characters for the Dies Irae series, designed the characters.
There’s also an initial trailer. It gives people a chance to hear the characters’ voice actors. Dill is voiced by Junya Enoki, Fennel is voiced by Wataru Komada, Laurier is voiced by Kaito Ishikawa, and Sage is voiced by Yuuichirou Umehara.
And here are some initial screenshots.
Nekopara: Catboys Paradise will apparently appear on the PC and both Android and Apple iOS devices in Summer 2021.
