Kadokawa Games is moving from publisher to developer with Natural Doctrine. This upcoming strategy RPG has two ways to see the battlefield, a top down view and an over the shoulder camera. The third person shooter style camera was made for players that prefer to snipe goblins.
While this enemy unit is behind a wall you can move to a gap, look for an opening using the over the shoulder camera, and hit the goblin from behind. The goblin has higher ground though so it has an advantage since it can see Anca.
Another tactic is to blow up a wall using one of Anca’s special moves.
Territory is split into blue (friendly) and red (enemy). When you defeat enemies you expand the amount of friendly territory on the map. Natural Doctrine has a detailed battle plan that shows players possible outcomes like enemy counterattacks and co-op attacks before you make a move. In the case with the blue lines, there is a possibility that two friendly units will help Zekelinde out while in the screenshot with the red lines multiple enemies will retaliate.
Natural Doctrine is slated for release on February 22, 2014 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4.
