M.A.O. will play Saki, who is protagonist Mirai’s love interest, classmate, and childhood friend. Coincidentally, she is also a God Candidate. M.A.O. played Alice in SINoALICE, Hikari Yagami in Digimon Adventure tri., and Eleanor in World End Economica.

Natsuki Hanae will play Revel, who is Saki’s angel. He is a calculating and manipulative character who is scheming behind the scenes. Previously, Natsuki Hanae played Tanjiro in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Reita Toritsuka in The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., and 9S in NieR: Automata.

Other Platinum End cast members announced so far are Miyu Irino and Yui Ogura. Miyu Irino, who will play Mirai, voiced Sora in the Kingdom Hearts series and Ritsu in Mob Psycho 100. Yui Ogura, who will voice Mirai’s guardian angel Nasse, played Nene Fujinoki in My First Girlfriend is a Gal and Passionlip in the Fate series.

Platinum End is created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, who famously collaborated on Death Note in the past. It ran in Jump Square from 2015 to 2021. Platinum End follows the story of Mirai Kakehashi who, after his guardian angel Nasse rescues him from a suicide attempt, enters a competition to take on the role of God. In the competition, there are 12 other God Candidates, with Saki being one of them.

Platinum End will start airing in October 2021 in Japan.
