Japanese Nintendo Direct Mini, Bandai Namco announced Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020, the latest game in its legacy series of baseball games. The game will include 12 Japanese Pro Baseball League teams to play around with, including their mascots. Japan’s Women’s Baseball League has revealed that 43 professional pro baseball female players are also available in the game. While the baseball simulation with real teams is the main draw of the game, this particular title adds in a Story Mode featuring the Namco Stars team for the first time.

For those unfamiliar with the Pro Yakyuu Famista series, since the very first game on Famicom, there has been a team featuring Namco characters like Pac-Man, and Wagan, but they have never been more than an extra team to play with. This time, people like Pac, Wonder Momo, Gilgamesh, and Valkyrie will need to unite up to beat a baseball-loving alien race who’s trying to take over the world.

Apart from the baseball games, it seems that the story mode will feature some animated segments and an actual town area to walk around in and talk to the other team members.

Pro Yakyuu Famista 2020 will release for the Nintendo Switch in 2020.
