Namco Bandai’s Naruto Games Shipments Reach 10 Million, Most Are In North America

Proud of their never ending stream of Naruto video games, Namco Bandai announced worldwide shipments for all of their Naruto titles passed ten million units. The first game, Naruto: Konohoa Ninpoucho was for the WonderSwan, came out in 2003 with CyberConnect2’s popular Ultimate Ninja series following later that year.

Fifteen Naruto games were made by Namco Bandai to date with Ultimate Ninja Impact for PSP being the most recent title. North America bought the most Naruto games with 4.3 million units shipped for the region. Namco Bandai moved 3.8 million units of Naruto in Europe and only 1.9 million units were sold in Japan and other Asian regions (Interlinks releases Naruto games in Korea).

 

Namco Bandai will promote the next game, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, with a world tour in February. Developers will be on hand to talk to fans and there will be tournaments. More details about the Naruto world tour will be announced at a later date.
