Like the first Eureka Seven game, Eureka Seven Vol. 2: The New Vision is a prequel to the anime series. You take on the role of Sumner Sturgeon who has left behind a life of sport lifting in exchange to stop the creation of the Compact Feed System. It’s more LFO mecha combat and sky surfing on the Playstation 2. Something interesting for fans is that the game ends at the start of the anime. Since Bandai works on both anime series and the game industry they have been increasing the amount of tie-ins with complimentary products like the Eureka Seven video game series. On the plus side fans get to spend more time with their favorite properties, but on the negative it’s going to cost them.
