Mystery Chronicle is labeled as a forced side-scroller RPG, as you’ll continue advancing through the game by going forward to avoid the destructive light of despair called “Shine Raid” that follows you closely from behind, or the left part of the screen.

Due to the field’s structure’s constant changes, you’ll need to efficiently maneuver around to fully explore the areas, while participating in battles and fighting items, all while doing your best to avoid being consumed by the light.

The story is about how there was once a world without a name, so kings from all the nations tried taking it over for themselves and began fighting amongst each other. Of all the kings, it was King Conlas and his kingdom that finished on top, and thus, governed the world.

However, one day, a certain incident brought sudden shock and trouble to the invincible King Conlas, from a messenger of evil. This messenger launched a light of despair that continued spreading across the land, swallowing all life forms it engulfed… and now, this light of despair is just about reach the king and his child.

Mystery Chronicle: I Can’t Turn Back Until I Win will release in Summer 2015 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
