My Nintendo Super Mario Pin Set Is Already No Longer Available

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Bad news for anyone who wanted the My Nintendo Super Mario pin set. Those who attempt to call dibs on the five pins after verifying they purchased Super Mario 3D All-Stars will find they are already sold out. While the Wave 1 Rewards and Mission page still shows it and there’s a product listing on Nintendo’s site, attempting to claim a set prompts an apology notification saying it “is no longer available.” [Thanks, Nintendo Life!]

The five pins are a bonus for North American buyers who picked up the collection with Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. After registering the game to the My Nintendo account, they would be able to use a code they’d get and pay about $5 shipping to get Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Pin Set $1.

The collection covers the earliest depictions of Mario. The one for Super Mario Bros. has Mario holding a mushroom. The one for Super Mario Bros. 2 has him throwing a turnip. One is a Raccoon Mario from Super Mario Bros. 3. The Super Mario World one has him wearing the cape and riding on Yoshi. Finally, the Super Mario 64 has him donning the iconic Wing Cap.

Keep in mind that this Super Mario pin set is only labeled with a #1 and we are only seeing the first wave of rewards. It is possible that a second wave could appear.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is available for the Nintendo Switch, though it will no longer be available to purchase after March 31, 2021.
