Shueisha has shared the results of the My Hero Academia World Best Hero character poll, which reveals the top 100 ranking of favorite characters from the manga and anime series, and Bakugo and Deku came out on top. This comes after people were previously able to vote on the topic back in August 2024. The official website also broke it down by regions.

The new video introduces the top 100 most popular characters in the My Hero Academia series out of a total of 278 characters. The video is approximately 54 minutes long and the voiceover is in Japanese only, with YouTube offering official English closed captions. Daiki Yamashita and Nobuhiko Okamoto, the Japanese voice actors for Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo in the anime adaptation, appeared in the video as special guests.
The ranking consisted of the results of a total of 6.12 million votes coming from all over the world. The video also included various pre-answered Q&A sections with My Hero Academia author Kohei Horikoshi. However, the mangaka didn’t make a live appearance for those segments, as only his answers appeared during the video.
