The students of 1-A are going to be zookeepers for a day, as My Hero Academia announced a collaboration event with Tobu Zoo. Tobu Zoo, which is in Saitama Prefecture, is a combination zoo and amusement park. The event will run from May 28 until August 31, 2022. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
There is a key visual of the students posing with animals at the zoo. For example, Deku is petting a white tiger while Todoroki is feeding a penguin. This key visual will appear on goods, food, tickets, and mini-games. As for the mini-games, it is still unclear what activities will be available during the event. More information on that will appear closer to the starting date.
This is not the first time that anime has appeared at this particular establishment. Tobu Zoo made international headlines when one of its penguins, Grape, fell in love with a cardboard cutout of Hululu from Kemono Friends. In 2018, it also ran a collaboration with Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple. Coincidentally, Bungo Stray Dogs was also produced by anime studio Bones.
My Hero Academia will be on its sixth season come Fall 2022. Bones revealed a trailer, as well as a new key visual focusing on Deku and Shigaraki, back in 2021. The sixth season will likely start on the Paranormal Liberation War arc.
The My Hero Academia collaboration event at Tobu Zoo will run from May 28 to August 31, 2022. More details, such as whether ticket prices will be different from usual, will appear in the near future.
