A new My Hero Academia game called My Hero Academia: Ultra Impact was announced for smartphones in the latest Weekly Shonen Jump. The mobile RPG will feature your favorite heroes and battles based on using unique Quirks. [Thanks, @ayofamz via Gematsu.]
The announcement doesn’t come with too many gameplay details, but Bandai Namco describes it as an “explosive battle RPG with hero Quirks.” It also says that you can level up your favorite heroes and have them fight in casual Quirk battles. The game has a story mode that features scenes and battles, as seen in the anime.
The magazine also revealed a closed beta test recruitment for the Android version of the game. Bandai Namco will share more details about the closed beta sign-ups later. You can find more through the official website and Twitter account when they go live sometime in the coming days.
Previous My Hero Academia smartphone games include My Hero Academia: Smash Tap, which launched for smartphones in Japan in May 2017. Its successor My Hero Academia: Smash Rising released for smartphones in Japan in October 2018.
My Hero Academia: Ultra Impact will release in Japan for iOS and Android devices in 2021. The game will be free-to-play with micro-transactions.
