What is the Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 release date?

Despite the game being out for a few days now, the MW3 Season 1 release date hasn’t been announced yet. What we officially know is Season 1 is coming sometime in early December 2023, but that’s it for now. However, we can speculate some about the actual release date due to the current battle pass in the game.

If you pick up this game right now, you can still progress through Season 6 from MW2 in the meantime. This current battle pass has a timer on when it ends, which is set for Wednesday, December 6, 2023. This could indicate the battle pass ends then and the new Season 1 for MW3 starts on the same day or perhaps the next day on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Either way, that is less than a month after the game’s launch.

What comes with Modern Warfare 3 Season 1?

Thankfully, we have some idea of what will be included when the MW3 Season 1 release date finally arrives. This date will be massive for Warzone fans, as the new Urzikstan battle royale map will arrive then alongside all of the new weapons available there. But there are also some goodies in store for multiplayer fans, too.

Three new core six-versus-six multiplayer maps will drop at the same time. From what we know, these are seemingly new, original maps unlike the existing 16 multiplayer maps, which all come from the original MW2. Of course, this also means a new battle pass complete with new operators, skins, weapons, and more.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is available right now on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Season 1 will arrive in early December 2023.
