Just Shapes & Beats’ pulsing tracks bring shifting, quick-moving stage hazards that players will have to dodge around, moving along to the beat in order to avoid endless waves of crushing sound.
Just Shapes & Beats puts players in dangerous interpretations of music, having them dodge around weaponized beats as they struggle to make it through a song. Using a quick dash, they’ll get out of the way of various visual effects driven by the beat, using temporary invincibility from the dodge to stay intact. There are thirty-five interpretations of various EDM and chiptune songs, giving players an array of songs to make their way through.
There are various ways players can tackle these musical hazards. Players can bring up to four players into the music, having them all dodging together locally or online. There are also various difficulty levels and challenges players can try out, or even just set the game to Party Mode to enjoy the music and effects alone.
