Monster Hunter XX Releases August 25 For Switch In Japan, Supports Online Cross-Play With 3DS

Following the surprise announcement of Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver., Capcom shared its first trailer with additional information on data transfers, multiplayer, and other new features.

 

Those of you with data for Monster Hunter Generations, or Monster Hunter X in Japan, will get to carry over save data from the Internet. While it’s a one-way transfer for Monster Hunter Generations’ data going to Monster Hunter XX for Switch, both 3DS and Switch versions of Monster Hunter XX will get to transfer data back and forth.

And it’ll also support online play with the 3DS version of the game. The Switch version also has 1080p resolution support, docked and handheld modes, and improved UI to match the new console.

A Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. Special Pack bundle was also announced for Japan. It features the Nintendo Switch console with Monster Hunter XX for it, all for 36,280 yen plus tax.
