At the 10:44 mark of the video we get a look at the base of operations, Astera. The footage shows a new facility called Ecology Research Station where you’ll get to track your research level that you gain from using your Scoutflies to trace monsters. The facility offers a bestiary that shows info on monsters such as its weakness, resistance, and info on body parts.

At the 17:06 mark of the video, we get a first look at the new “Training Area.” Tsujimoto explains how he’s a Hammer-main but there are times he’d like to try out other weapons. So when you feel that way, the Training Area will come in handy so you don’t have to go up against monster to learn a new weapon.

When in the Training Area, you have various barrels and trees as objects to hit and they come in different hardness levels similar to what you can expect from monsters. Your weapon’s commands and combos are also shown on the screen so you can learn what they’re all about right away.
