Monster Hunter Wilds PS5 Cover and Controller to Appear in Japan

Japan will receive a Monster Hunter Wilds PS5 cover and controller to celebrate the release of the next installment in Capcom’s behemoth of a series. Pre-orders for both items will open on October 30, 2024 and will be in limited supply. Unfortunately, both the controller and cover are exclusive to Japan. The Monster Hunter Wilds controller will cost 12,480 yen or roughly $81, where was the case will cost 9,980 yen or $65. The controller and case will release on February 28, 2025.

Of course, neither the controller or case will come with Monster Hunter Wilds. You’ll have to purchase the game separately. You can take a look at the controller and case below.

The Monster Hunter Wilds controller features the logo from the game and is extenuated by floral embellishments on the handles. Additionally, you can see the “Quest Completed!” icon on the upper lefthand corner. The case includes the same detailing, but with red and white details. The controller comes in red, while the case comes in black.

A Monster Hunter Wilds open beta test is set to take place on October 31, 2024 for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X. It will allow for crossplay support and will remain open until November 3, 2024.

Monster Hunter Wilds will come out on February 28, 2025 for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.
