Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will have a character creator. While the character creator itself wasn’t shown off during the stream, a slide featuring different appearance options for the protagonist appeared during the presentation. This included different hairstyles, hair colors, and skin colors.

No additional information was shared, however a second broadcast will be available on September 26, 2020 at 5am PT/8am ET. This showcase will cover more information about the upcoming Monster Hunter Stories 2.

Outside of providing a glimpse at the possible combinations in the character creator for Monster Hunter Stories 2, story tidbits were also shared. This included a brief introduction to Red, a seasoned Hunter, and his Rathalos. The protagonist character is the grandchild of Red and is an up-and-coming Hunter.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin was recently announced for the Nintendo Switch. The announcement trailer provided small story details and brief character introductions. Unlike other Monster Hunter titles, Stories focuses on raising and hatching monsters. Outside of the release of Monster Hunter Stories on the 3Ds, mobile title Monster Hunter Riders has taken a similar approach to gameplay.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will release on the Nintendo Switch in Summer 2021.
