Monster Hunter Rise Sales Surpass 5 Million Units Worldwide

Monster Hunter Rise sales have officially surpassed 5 million units worldwide. Capcom shared this information through a recent press release in both English and Japanese on its official website. Capcom credits most of the success of Monster Hunter Rise to the extremely positive reception the two available demos received prior to the official release.

Additionally, the statement mentions within the headline of the press release that both the combat and new gameplay features have also attributed to the success of this entry. Capcom once again brought up its plans to extend the scope of the brand due to its increasing successes. The statement mentions the recently released Monster Hunter film as well. However, the press release does not detail any specific initiatives the company will be taking going forward.

Previously, it was announced that Monster Hunter Rise sales had surpassed 4 million units worldwide within three days. The domestic market had contributed 1.3 million copies, with the game rising to the top of the Japanese charts. Monster Hunter World had sold similar numbers during the same time-frame. However, this entry was available on multiple platforms.

Monster Hunter Rise is immediately available for the Nintendo Switch. A PC port will arrive sometime in early 2022.
