As a reminder, Monolith Soft recently celebrated its 25th anniversary back on October 1, 2024 by opening a new website dedicated to the studio’s history. Nintendo also shared a video celebrating various of the games and series developed by Monolith Soft, including the Xenoblade Chronicles series and the Xenosaga trilogy, among others.

Considering recent activity at the studio, it comes as no surprise that the developers at Monolith Soft wish to update fans on how they’re operating. On August 5, 2024 the studio put out a job posting looking for staff members to work on a new Tetsuya Takahashi led game. Additionally, Monolith Soft established a new R&D team to develop a new game engine on October 7, 2024.

Monolith Soft recently announced that Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2024.
