Monark Shin Megami Tensei

Monark Is The New RPG From Former Shin Megami Tensei Staff

The new RPG from former Shin Megami Tensei staff is officially titled Monark. Information regarding the title had been previously released, though details were scarce. This mostly included some hints as to who could potentially be working on the title, outside of the confirmation that former Shin Megami Tensei staff members were part of the team. While a full reveal of the upcoming RPG is on the way, an official website for Monark is now live.

The official website itself is fairly mysterious. Several names of development staff and voice actors are partially obscured. Additionally, a timer ticks down in the background, counting down to the official reveal of the game. One final detail of minor importance is a phone number on the website. This phone number is actually a working number, which you can call to hear a voice message. The voice message that plays is a cryptic one.

Some kind of struggle and a scream can be heard during the first few moments, which is then followed up by a voice line. The line roughly translates to “At last, I have been waiting for you, my foolish, foolish children.” In order the access the voice message you will need to have international calling booked on your phone plan if you want to hear it for yourself.

Monark is currently in development by former members of the Shin Megami Tensei development team. More details will be revealed on June 10, 2021.
