The latest game is a revival of the series, also produced by series creator Akira Sakuma and Konami. According to Sakuma, despite him saying that the series was done, this game is releasing due to popular demand, and focuses first and foremost on bringing classic gameplay onto the Nintendo Swithc. The game features a new artstyle that updates the characters to a more modern cutesy style, and some upgraded events, like the Binbougami event.

Additionally, apart from local multiplayer games, online games will also be supported. If a game is suspended midway online, players can get together to resume it from where they left off next session.

Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! releases on Nintendo Switch in Winter 2020.
