Earlier this week, Taiwanese publisher Justdan Entertainment revealed the full list of games that are set to be showcased at Taipei Game Show 2020. Among them were some titles that haven’t been announced for release outside Japan, including FuRyu’s Model Debut #nicola and Studio Saizensen’s Umihara Kawase BaZooKa!!. [Thanks, Bahamut!]
Model Debut #nicola is one of the relatively few fashion genre games to release on the Nintendo Switch, debuting in Japan last November. The game is actually made in collaboration with the fashion magazine nicola, and includes many of the latest fashion items as a result. You’re also able to coordinate clothes to appear in TV commercials, and appear on the front cover of nicola.
Meanwhile, Umihara Kawase BaZooKa!! is something of a spinoff from the main wire action platformer series. focusing on battles between four players while still keeping its wire action focus. The game features online multiplayer, and recently held a beta demo session in Japan. The game is slated to release in Summer 2020.
Both titles are set to appear at Justdan’s booth at Taipei Game Show with their Traditional Chinese localizations. While English support is not confirmed, the fact that both titles are releasing overseas is a good sign for release in other regions. This is more so for Model Debut #nicola, as the Umihara Kawase series has a track record of English localizations, including the latest game, Umihara Kawase Fresh!.
Apart from the above two titles, other games set to appear at Justdan’s booth come from a variety of publishers. They include Nintendo’s Ring Fit Adventure and Luigi’s Mansion 3, Compile Heart’s Azur Lane:Crosswave and Mary Skelter 2, and Capcom’s Resident Evil: Resistance and Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection among others.
Model Debut #nicola is available on Nintendo Switch in Japan, and is set to release in Asia. Umihara Kawase BaZooKa!! releases for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC simultaneously in Summer 2020. Taipei Game Show 2020 will be held from February 6 to February 9, 2020 in Taipei.
