With the new release date of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway just around the corner, the official Gundam Channel on YouTube has released a compilation video titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Shining Life Chronicle UC. Harutoshi Fukui, who wrote the novel version of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and the story of Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative, wrote and compiled this special video. Currently, the video is only available in Japanese territories, which means overseas fans will need to use a VPN in order to watch it.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Shining Life Chronicle UC combines old animation with new. This is a similar method that Sunrise employed when they made the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam movie trilogy. It is a frame story, in which Amuro Ray and Lalah Sune look back on the history of the Universal Century. The video then ends with a trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, which airs on June 11, 2021.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Shining Life Chronicle UC is currently available on YouTube, but only in Japanese territories. Though it is not set in the Universal Century, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed will having an upcoming renaissance with a new game, anime series, and manga.
