Sunrise has revealed a new trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom Zero, which will take place between Destiny and Freedom. This trailer uses content that appeared at the end of the theatrical version of the Special Edition. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]
You can watch the trailer here:
It’s quite short and there’s no dialogue. Instead, it shows the main characters as they go about their daily lives and work, with only one clip of Gundams fighting. At the end, the text for “In production” appears. More details on the movie will come out closer to when Sunrise is ready to release it.
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom is a movie based on the Gundam Seed series, and it chronologically takes place after the events of Gundam Seed Destiny. The movie was incredibly popular, with Sunrise announcing in April 2024 that it grossed over 4.52 billion JPY within Japan alone. That number would convert to around $2.877 million (at the time).
Blu-Ray editions of the movie will also come out soon for those who wish to own this film. Sales will begin on December 25, 2024 and there are multiple versions to buy. The most expensive package is the Mighty Edition, which costs 27,500 JPY ($177.80). This will come with exclusive goods like a Limited Clear HG 1/144 Mighty Strike Freedom Gunpla, script copies, and an art book.
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom Zero is in production, with more details on it to appear later.
