Studio Bones celebrated the birthday of Mob Psycho 100 protagonist Shigeo Kageyama, aka “Mob,” with a major announcement. The Mob Psycho 100 anime will return with the release of season 3 in October 2022. It also released a new announcement trailer, which teases some of the next season’s story events. There is no information on available streaming platforms.
Mob Psycho 100 is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name. It follows a young boy with psychic powers named Mob. After learning that he is an esper, a self-proclaimed psychic medium by the name of Reigen Arataka employs him for his abilities, and also acts as his mentor. The first season of the anime aired in 2016, and the second season aired in 2019. Previously, Studio Bones announced the third season with a teaser trailer and key art.

The new trailer starts off with Mob realizing that he doesn’t have any plans for after he graduates high school. Reigen, his employer, assumes that Mob will come work for him after he graduates. During this period of turmoil, other characters also make an appearance. Furthermore, it turns out that the cult following Mob has reached 500,000 members. The central conflict appears to be with Ekubo (or Dimple), whom Mob tries to convince to “stop trying to be bad.”
