Celica Ayatsuki Mercury will be making her debut on BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma later this Fall through an update on the arcade version. In the latest episode of the BlazBlue web radio show, they gave us a first look at Celica in action.

Okay, I might’ve said “Celica in action” but it looks more like it’s all her Machina, Minerva, which you can see starting at the 2:27 mark of the video.

According to Arc System Works, they’re making her into a character with beginner players in mind, so she’ll be one of the easier ones to learn and control. They also point out that Minerva actually has four arms—two big ones, and two smaller or normal-sized ones.

Most of Celica’s playstyle is made of combination attacks with Minerva, which can be switched up with button and joystick combinations. She has an Overdrive attack that can make Minerva stronger, and also heal up her health.

Speaking of healing, Celica also seems to have a cute victory animation, where she heals up the character she just beat to a pulp.

Celica, along with Lambda-11, will be available on the arcade version of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma in Japan this Fall. Arc System Works have yet to make an announcement of a console version for the two characters.
