It seems a former Japan-exclusive New Nintendo 2DS XL model is creeping into another territory. A Nintendo RU .pdf file offered with gamescom 2018 materials shows the Minecraft New Nintendo 2DS XL will be heading to Europe. A release date has not been announced, but images showing the system and boxes with European ratings were shown. (Thanks, XYAB.Club and Nintendo Life!)

The New Nintendo 2DS XL Minecraft Creeper originally made its debut in Japan on August 2, 2018. It costs ¥16,980 ($153) and arrives with Minecraft: New Nintendo 3DS Edition pre-installed.

Interestingly, if someone zooms in on the image from the Nintendo RU .pdf, the New Nintendo 2DS XL Creeper model’s box appears to indicate Minecraft: New Nintendo 3DS Edition is pre-installed on the system. This is noteworthy, because the game is not out in Europe or Australia yet. It is only available in North America and Japan right now.
