Miitomo Will Let Players Swap Candy For Game Tickets

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Miitomo will be getting an update soon, and the biggest feature will give users something to do with all of the candy they’ve accumulated. Currently, candy can be acquired as a daily visit reward or as the default prize in a Miitomo Drop game. It can currently only be used to see additional answers and photos from friends. After the next Miitomo update, a Candy Drop game will be added.

Candy Drop is going to be a grabbing game like Miitomo Drop with some minor differences. While Miitomo Drop lets people use coins or game tickets to drop Miis to possibly win clothing items or candy, Candy Drop will let people exchange candy for chances to win game tickets. The exact amount of candy needed for each play, as well as possible game ticket reward values, has yet to be announced.

A few other adjustments related to candy, friends, and Miifotos are coming to Miitomo too. Answers will no longer require candy after the update. You can opt out of Miifoto of the Day and see improved image quality for captured Miifotos. Some privacy controls will also be implemented, as you’ll be able to decide which friends can and can’t visit your room.

As a reminder, since Marie won the last Splatoon Splatfest, every Miitomo user who logs in before August 1, 2016 receives a Marie-themed Squid Badge. Callie Squid Badges are also available in the in-game shop for 1,000 coins.

Miitomo is immediately available for Apple iOS and Android devices.
