Currently, a total of three out of the planned seven continents in Genshin Impact are currently available. This includes Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma. Future continents include Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan, and Snezhnaya. Additionally, the GDC 2021 panel revealed that the conceptualization of all seven continents occurred early in development. The developer also states that there were some difficulties in creating the art style that would dictate the look of the world.

The talk goes in-depth about the process of rendering the environments. This includes blending layers and using various rendering effects to create the stylized look achieved in Genshin Impact. Additionally, the developers took the time to discuss the methods in which they used to implement clouds into the environments.

Version 2.0 of Genshin Impact is immediately available and features the Inazuma region. Several new characters have been revealed with the inclusion of this new continent, with Ayaka Kamisato currently available to obtain through a limited time banner.

Genshin Impact is immediately available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Android and iOS devices.
