Microtransactions are making their way into Gran Turismo 6, Sony have revealed via the PlayStation Blog in Europe (thanks, Polygon). You’ll be able to purchase additional cars and upgrades in the game.

Microtransactions will use special in-game “credits” that can be purchased either via the PlayStation Store or through retailers. They’ll come in denominations of 500k, 1 million, 2.5 million and 7 million, and you’ll be able to use them to purchase your cars and upgrades. Gran Turismo 6 will be available on December 6th for the PlayStation 3. Sony have not yet announced how much real money the racer’s in-game credits will cost.
