Microsoft Drops Xbox 360 Elite Price, Phases Out Pro Model

Starting on August 28, the Xbox 360 Elite will retail for $299.99, a $100 less than the current price. The Xbox 360 Elite includes a 120 GB hard drive, double the storage space of the standard Xbox 360 Pro unit.

Microsoft will also cut the price of the Xbox 360 Pro console from $299.99 to $249.99 “while supplies last”, indicating that the mid-range model with a 60 GB hard drive will be no more. The hard drive-less Xbox 360 Arcade will continue to retail for $199.99.
