The latest Metaphor: ReFantazio showcase introduced several new characters that will try their luck in the tournament for the throne of Euchronia, as well as various other characters that will support the different parties involved in the political race. They are Batlin, Forden, Louis, Gideaux, Glodell, Milo, Loveless, Rudolf, Lina, Goddard, Roger, Jin, Julian, and Edeni.
Batlin is a Sanctist crier that takes care of delivering information about the tournament to the population. Forden is the supreme authority of Sanctism, the state religion of the Kingdom of Euchronia, and one of the candidates for the throne leading the moderate political faction. Louis is a is an army officer who believes in true meritocracy. Gideaux is a warrior monk and Captain of the Monk Army, as well as Forden’s bodyguard. While Gideaux is a candidate in the race he doesn’t have the intention of becoming king. Instead, he participates in order to stop the protagonist as he is an Elda, whom Gideaux despises.
Glodell is known as the Black Hound and he’s an ambitious subordinate of Louis. Milo Maurizio of the Ishkia tribe is an eccentric candidate who believes that those of beauty will take the titles of those deemed hideous. Loveless is a hedonistic commoner and the third son of a tavern owner who hasn’t given much thought to how to rule a kingdom. Rudolf is another militaristic candidate who intends to establish a Roussainte tribe military dictatorship after acquiring the throne. Lina belongs to the Eugief tribe and is the daughter of the owners of the Kayden Workshop. She is participating in the race to promote her family’s gauntlet runner business.
Goddard of the Rohag tribe represents the elderly citizens of the United Kingom of Euchronia and he is a demolitionist. Roger of a self-righteous young Clemar that believes in a country with no taxes, laws, nor religion. Jin from the Nidia tribe is a populist candidate that changes his tune everwhere he goes in order to win as many people as possible. Julian is an Ishkian member whose policies focus on animal rights, even among the monsters that threaten the population. Edeni of the Mustari tribe is a pagan advocate and the representative of religious freedom in the race.

Additionally, Atlus introduced several Followers that will aid the protagonist and the party in his journey and will unlock several Archetypes. These are Brigitta, who awakens the Merchant, Maria offers the Healer Archetype, Bardon gives access to Commander, Alonzo awakens the Faker Archetype, and Catherina unlocks the Brawler.
The next Metaphor: ReFantazio video will introduce the Journey aspect and mechanics of the game, and the previous video offered a look at the Prince’s Curse.
Metaphor: ReFantazio will come out for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 11, 2024.
