Kadokawa Games announced that Metal Max Xeno will release in Japan on April 19. We also got a look at its Limited and Premium edition versions along with a brand-new trailer.
First, here’s a look at the game’s latest trailer that shows a variety of key characters and more of its world and combat.
The standard edition of the game will go for 6980 yen plus tax on PS4 and PS Vita. It’ll also be available for the same price as a digital title.
First-print bonus is an “Underground Shotgun” weapon that will come in handy at the early parts of the game.
The limited edition version will go for 10,000 yen plus tax.
It includes a 25th anniversary soundtrack CD with over 50 tracks themed with “Birth,” “Regeneration,” and “Rebirth.”
It also comes with a book titled “History Book of Destruction and Creation” that comes with development materials and data for Metal Max Xeno, including plenty of info exclusive to this book. It also comes with secret material from the first Metal Max and the canceled Dreamcast title Metal Max: Wild Eyes. There’s even a prequel story by Hiroshi Miyaoka titled “The Survivors” as part of the 128-page book.
The Limited and Premium editions also come with the 25th anniversary commemorative DLC Tank Engine “Old Friend.”
And lastly, a DLC tank weapon called “Ama-Ebi Vulcan” that hits enemies with fire attribute attacks.
The Premium Edition will only be available digitally for 7,852 yen plus tax. It includes a Metal Max 25th anniversary digital soundtrack featuring 50 tracks arranged by Satoshi Kadokura.
It also comes with the aforementioned “Old Friend” Tank Engine DLC.
Exclusive to the Premium Edition is a “PS Burst Gun” rapidfire tank weapon, which is a rarity in the earlier parts of the game.
Last but not least, the Premium Edition will also include an original Metal Max Xeno theme for you PlayStation 4 or PlayStation Vita.
