Kadokawa Games introduced a new feature for Metal Max 3. The game has a multi-party system where you can create a custom team of three humans and one pet. Screenshots show Pochi, a dog, in a group with a hunter and the protagonist.

Hunter – These guys are in the business of bounty hunting. Armed with vehicle mounted weapons (and maybe a dog), hunters are the base job in Metal Max 3. 
Mechanic – This class is a hunter’s best friend. Mechanics repair damaged vehicles and weapons. They can also instantly kill some mechs and machines by dismantling them. 
Soldier – In contrast to hunters, soldiers are inept at using vehicle weapons, but are skilled with human weapons. You know, rocket launchers and firearms. 
Nurse – Recovery specialists armed with shields and huge needles. 
Wrestler – These guys, unlike soldiers, don’t need weapons. Wrestlers are masters of hand to hand combat. 
Artist – Wanderers by heart, artists are good at foraging materials and can create special car shells.
