Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Includes MGSV: Phantom Pain DLC As A Bonus In Japan

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and in Japan certain retailers are giving away DLC for The Phantom Pain instead of Ground Zeroes. If you get Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes at Geo you’ll get a special weapon for The Phantom Pain. Tsutaya is giving out a Mother Base staff member for The Phantom Pain with a purchase of Ground Zeroes.

Konamistyle has a neat smartphone stand that looks like a cassette case that appears in the game. The "tape" that comes with it is actually a notepad. Buyers will also get a Mother Base staff member for The Phantom Pain, but it isn’t clear if Konamistyle’s staffer is different from the Tsutaya bonus.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes comes out on March 18 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in North America. Japan gets the game two days later on March 20.
