The gameplay trailer showed that Metal Gear Solid Delta is a faithful recreation of the original game, with the original intro reworked in the new engine. We also got a look at various bits of gameplay, with Snake’s CQC abilities shown off extensively. We also see Naked Snake hanging off a bridge, sneaking around in an alligator cap and hunting animals for food, which should all be familiar to players of the original game.

Metal Gear Solid Delta was previously shown off at the Xbox Partner Preview presentation in October 2023. This remake of the classic 2004 PS2 game Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater is built on Unreal Engine 5. Konami previously confirmed that both the Japanese and English cast would be returning for the remake. David Hayter’s performance as Naked Snake featured heavily in the trailer.

Metal Gear Solid Delta is currently in development for PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. The original version of the game can be found in the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1, available now for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
