Type-Moon published a teaser trailer for the upcoming fighting game Melty Blood: Type Lumina. An English version of the trailer is also available on its YouTube channel.
The trailer shows approximately 15 seconds of gameplay footage from the 2D fighting game. It showcases special moves from the first four confirmed characters: Arcueid Brunestud, Shiki Tohno, Ciel, and Akiha Tohno. The full game is expected to have more than 10 playable characters at launch.
The development for this game is handled by French-Bread. The Japanese game development circle had previously worked on prior Melty Blood titles as well as other 2D fighting games, such as the Under Night In-Birth and Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax series.
Type Lumina will have its visuals and gameplay systems reworked, while still retaining the essence from prior Melty Blood games. An interview published in Type-Moon Ace Vol. 13—where the game was first revealed—also indicated that it will feature the popular rollback netcode.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina will be released for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One simultaneously worldwide in 2021. The game will be available with Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean subtitles. While Type Lumina will only feature Japanese voiceovers, it will have the same all-new voice cast from the upcoming visual novel remake, Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-.
