MegaMan.EXE Premium Color Version Model Kit Revealed

Kotobukiya has revealed a new premium version of its MegaMan.EXE plastic model kit. This kit will have the new moniker “Premium Charge Shot Ver.” and it will be available in December 2024 at 7,480 yen (~$51.20).

This will not be the first kit to feature the moniker, though. Kotobukiya had previously released a Premium Charge Shot Version of the Mega Man X model kit in 2019. The company applies pearlescent or iridescent to the main model to add light-reflective effects while also changing the colors of attack effect parts.

“Premium Charge Shot” is a bit of a misnomer for the upcoming new version of MegaMan.EXE model kit though, as the set will not include a shooting effect from his Buster. Kotobukiya will instead change the colors of the Life Sword and its attack effects from clear green to iridescent green.

Here are the direct comparison images showing the color differences. The left one is from the original version that came out in 2022, and the right one shows the new upcoming Premium Charge Shot version.

The kit will be exclusively available on the Kotobukiya Online Shop in Japan with guaranteed stocks for people who have pre-ordered by September 17, 2024. The company suggests those who reside in other countries contact local partner retailers for the kit’s availability.

Kotobukiya will release the MegaMan.EXE Premium Charge Shot Version model kit in December 2024.
