Mega Man Battle Network 5 Heads To Wii U Virtual Console In Japan

Capcom will re-release Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team of Blues and Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team of Colonel for Wii U Virtual Console. Lan Hikari and MegaMan.EXE return for both games, but the Comm function from the original version doesn’t work the same way on Virtual Console.

Selecting Comm gives players one of the chips you would have been able to receive from by linking Mega Man Battle Network 5 to another game. Both Mega Man Battle Network 5 titles can be downloaded on Japan’s eShop starting on September 9. Each one costs 702 yen.

Nintendo will also re-release Kirby Squeak Squad on September 9. Originally released for Nintendo DS, the Wii U Virtual Console version will cost 950 yen.
