Meet the Sonic Movie’s Baby Sonic the Hedgehog

The upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie won’t only show Sonic as he is now. A new Sonic movie baby Sonic trailer has been released in Japan. It appears to show him running around Green Hill Zone as a child, then presenting someone with a sunflower. Only the first thirty seconds of this trailer contains new footage, all of it focusing on showing baby Sonic running through loops and dashing through his world.

There will also be a promotion in Japan giving people an opportunity to get a free baby Sonic keychain while supplies last. An adult ticket through this promotion will be 1,400 yen, while a child’s ticket will be 900 yen.

The Sonic the Hedgehog movie will launch in North America on February 14, 2020 and in Japan on March 27, 2020. The redesign for the character leaked out in October 2019 and was confirmed in November 2019. However, in Japan he won’t be voiced by Junichi Kanemaru.
