Meet Newton, The Flying Hamster. He Shoots Toaster Robots

The Game Atelier is working on a cute ‘em up for PSP called The Flying Hamster.

It stars Newton, a laser shooting hamster equipped with a leaf jet pack. Players will soar through sunflower fields, a Japanese city, and ancient Egypt. Since this is a horizontal shooter, Newton has enemies to blast and The Game Atelier made an interesting group of adversaries. Things to beware of in The Flying Hamster: penguins with umbrellas, ninja squirrels, exploding foxes, anti-air cows and toaster robots!

No word on a release date, but after seeing these screenshots I’m intrigued.
