One of the main new characters in Disgaea Dimension 2, a direct sequel to Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, is Sicily, Laharl’s younger sister. She left Heaven and landed in the Netherworld to become a demon. Not just any demon, Sicily wants to overthrow Laharl and become the Overlord of the Netherworld!
Sicily claims to be King Krichevskoy’s daughter and is the type of character that doesn’t give up even in a difficult situation. Her hobby is baking sweets and Sicily is really proud of her cooking skills. Kaori Ishihara who plays Ram in the Neptunia series and Welsh in Mugen Souls voices Sicily in Disgaea Dimension 2.
The Overlord’s castle acts as a hub world in this game. Players can walk around the castle and visit shops (that dare to ask Overlord Laharl for money?) and talk to Laharl’s vassals. If you explore the castle with a different character like Etna or Flonne characters will say different things.
The Dark Assembly returns in Disgaea Dimension 2 and like other games you can vote on rules that change the game. Laharl can bribe representatives to get votes and if his proposal is rejected he can use fight the demon senators to make his law pass.
Disgaea Dimension 2 is slated for release on March 20.
