Medabots Girls Mission was announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. As the name suggests, the game involves Medabots and a bunch of different girls. [Thanks, Hachima and Game Jouhou.]
Medabots: Girls Mission is an upcoming action game and similar to the other entries of the series, it’ll come in Kabuto and Kuwagata versions. The character designs are being handled by Sai Izami with Medabots designed by Rin Hahoru.
The game features over 20 girls that will make appearances as characters, and a story that involves the fight in winning the top of the Medabots tournament called “Artemis Cup.”
The Robattles are done in 2v2 teams, where you’ll actively control your units with a button to attack enemies. The units are controlled with actions that correspond to the A, B, X, and Y buttons. Whichever side can shut down the enemy Medabots first wins the fight.
You’ll get to team up with a girl buddy and friendship levels increase as you work together. As your bond increases, the buddy’s Medabots become stronger as well. Both Kabuto and Kuwagata versions have different girls, including ones that are exclusive as well.
Local connectivity will let you have up to four people in team battles, and you can even have a friend control your buddy character for story mode co-op. Internet connectivity has 1v1 battles with friends or random players.
The game features over 100 Medabots and customizable parts for the head, left and right arms, and legs. Each part has its own skills, characteristics, and controls. Winning fights result in getting parts and points that are used to increase the abilities of the Medabots.
Medabots: Girls Mission will release in Japan on March 10, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS. It’ll go for 5,800 yen plus tax.
