McDonald’s Japan Finally Gets the Grimace Shake

McDonald’s will introduce the Blueberry Yogurt Flavored Grimace Shake in Japan on October 30, 2024. This limited-time offering is inspired by the popular Grimace Shake, which was initially released in the United States in 2023 to celebrate the character Grimace’s birthday. The US version gained significant attention online for its vibrant color and unique flavor profile, and this upcoming release marks the first time the shake will be available in Japan. The Japanese version of the Grimace Shake features a blueberry yogurt flavor. It will be using blueberry juice to create its distinctive purple color, which is closely associated with the Grimace character. At the pre-release event in Japan, Grimace made an appearance to promote the product. The Grimace Shake will be offered for a limited time, coinciding with the return of other McDonald’s family characters, such as the Hamburglar and Fry Kids, who will also be featured in promotional materials in Japan alongside it.

McDonald’s Japan also announced that it is developing a new game called Hirumakku Game, or “Himage.” The game was first teased earlier in 2024, and it follows the success of last year’s Grimace-themed game released in the US.

McDonald’s Japan will launch the limited-time Blueberry Yogurt Flavored Grimace Shake on October 30, 2024.
