In the Japanese press release, First Studio expressed its intention to strengthen planning and development for next-generation high-end game consoles, such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. It is working on multiple new projects aimed at the global gaming market, with a focus on action and RPG games. It also mentioned a brand-new, major RPG among the projects.

All job positions will be stationed in the studio’s office at the Shinagawa Seaside East Tower in Tokyo, Japan. Although Japanese fluency will be a given, the listing says those applying as console development and graphics engineers should ideally be able to read and understand English technology documents.

The first games created by Marvelous First Studio were the 2013 PlayStation Vita title Soul Sacrifice and its 2014 definitive release Soul Sacrifice Delta. It then worked on the Dynasty Warriors-esque hack-and-slash action games Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star and Fate/Extella Link, which were released in 2016 and 2018, respectively. Bandai Namco also asked the studio to co-develop the hunting action game God Eater 3. The latest title from this studio to date is Daemon X Machina, a mecha action game released for the Nintendo Switch on September 13, 2019 and PC on February 13, 2020.
