Nintendo shared a new Mario vs Donkey Kong Switch trailer that shows off its two new worlds. This video offers brief glimpse at the Merry Mini-Land and Slippery Summit areas, as well as other new features.
This means that there will be nine worlds in Switch version of the game. The original game only offered seven. Each of the seven in the GBA game also had a Plus variant, which will also return for this release.
Here’s the full list of Mario vs Donkey Kong Switch worlds. Presumably Merry Mini-Land and Slippery Summit will appear before World DK, which was the final world in the original version:
- Mario Toy Company
- Donkey Kong Jungle
- Fire Mountain
- Spooky House
- Mystic Forest
- Twilight City
- Merry Mini-Land
- Slippery Summit
- World DK
And here’s the new full trailer. It begins by establishing there are over 130 levels. The new worlds appear at the 10 second mark. Merry Mini-Land comes up first. Then, there’s a slightly longer look at Slippery Summit and its icy floors and falling icicles. The easier Casual mode comes up at the 20 second mark, and the new local co-op multiplayer that lets a second player control a Toad shows up after that.
Mario vs Donkey Kong will come out on February 16, 2024. It will be available via the Switch eShop, and pre-orders are open.Â
