Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, the turn-based tactical game from Ubisoft, is going to be getting a series of studio tournaments called Community Competitions. Winter Games, Summer Games, and Spring Games have been announced, with each season culminating in studio tournaments in Paris and Milan. Things are all kicking off with the Winter Games.

Registration for the Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Winter Games begins on December 13, 2018. People with the base game can compete by undertaking the three challenges, which will be held on December 14, 2018, January 3, 2019, and January 16, 2019. Each one will have different restrictions, with some of the guidelines mentioned in the video being 1-Turn Run, No Shots Fired, Dash Only, Imposed Teams, and Secondary Weapons Only. The finals for each season take place at the studios, with the rewards including a Trip to Paris where people can spend two days at the studio, two gamescom 2019 tickets for the tournament finalists, and also some sort of goodie bag.

Here is the Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle Community Competition trailer that helps go over everything.

Ubisoft did not note how progress for competitors will be tracked or what each specific challenge will entail. We’ll have to wait for more information, presumably on registration day.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is available for the Nintendo Switch. To participate in the tournament, people only need the base game and do not need the Donkey Kong Adventure expansion.
