Marie To Appear As A Playable DLC Character In Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

The above image should actually read “New Challanger: Marie” as this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine reveals that Marie is the newest playable character to appear in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

According to the report, it seems like Marie will be taking a short break from the Velvet Room, and this time, to help her friends out in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax as a DLC character.

While we don’t have details on her fighting style, it’s been revealed that she’ll fight using various objects inside her bag and her Persona Kaguya, which was also the Persona you can get by befriending her in Persona 4 Golden.

She is said to have various long-ranged attacks, along with some poking attacks to keep opponents in check.

Additionally, the magazine report also notes that Persona 4 Arena Ultimax adds a lobby for online versus modes that will have a chat function. While in the lobby, you can control an avatar and will be able to check out places like schools and Junes.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is slated for release on August 28, 2014 in Japan, and later this Fall in North America for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
