Maple Story anime coming in October

Considering the worldwide popularity of Maple Story, I’m not surprised to see that an anime is set to air in Japan this October. However, the project seems odd for Madhouse who has made a name for themselves by releasing anime geared towards an older audience. This is the same studio responsible for Paranoia Agent, Trigun and Death Note. They do have a few titles oriented for kids in their list like Beyblade and Card Captor Sakura so maybe Maple Story isn’t too far up their alley. Either way it’s theirs and some of the characters are in the screenshot above. While the series is going to air in Japan first Nexon Group has plans to bring it to other regions including Korea and North America in the future.
